When we leave school we understand that the time to choose our future profession has come. It is not an easy task to make a right choice of a job. I have known for a long time that leaving school is the beginning of my independent life, the beginning of serious examination of my abilities and character. I believe that a young person can approach the future being enriched with broad knowledge. So we all are interested in highly qualified and proficient teaching given at school. The curriculum provides us with a wide range of subjects covering different fields of knowledge. But some of them are of particular importance for me. They are: geography, mathematics and biology. The studying of foreign languages is also very important for me, because they are needed today as the main and the most efficient way of information exchange of the among people of our planet. I always remember these famous words: "He, who doesn't know a foreign language, doesn't know his own language". So, all these subjects have always been my favorites and I think that my future profession will be connected with them, because my dream has always been to become an oceanographer or;.; marine ecologist. Professions of my parents are. connected with geography and ecology that is why since my childhood I have -been listening to my parents discussing professional matters. Little by little I got interested in these subjects and began thinking of oceanography and ecology as my prospective professions. When deciding our future career we must be realistic about our interests, personal characteristics and abilities, as they should satisfy the requirements of our future job. To succeed in any occupation we must be patient, stubborn and persistent, responsible and reliable, careful and accurate. We must develop all these qualities just now, because as Samuel Johnson said: "Future is purchased by the present». As for me, I am suited for practical and creative jobs like........ because I m practical, organized, confident and outgoing, I am able to convey my ideas to other people and I find communication with others very easy. Some people believe that there are job areas in which chiefly men or women work. But in my opinion it all depends on personal abilities and interests. I know some examples of the women who successfully cope with jobs, which have always been considered men's privileges. Sometimes it's rather difficult to make the final decision about your future career, r Your opinion may be influenced by your parents, by a person who is following a career which interests you, by some magazines to help young people make their choice. In some countries a programme of Careers Education and Guidance is established. It enables the students to understand the structure of opportunities that face them, to realize their own strengths and , weaknesses. The programme includes consultations involving pupils, parents and teachers, detailed information about courses of Higher and Further Education, talks, films and visits to places of employment and educational institutions. They say, "the future is something which everyone reaches a the rate of sixty minutes an hour, whatever he does, whoever he is". So we really have no time to waste because our present is a foundation of our future.
